CVE was an electrical construction trade partner for the new Utah State Correctional Facility—a 170-acre campus designed to incorporate the latest concepts in correctional facility operations. CVE commenced involvement in this DFCM project in 2017 in a design assist role and continued construction efforts until the new USCF opened in Spring 2022.
CVE’s electrical construction scope included electrical systems of 5 male inmate housing buildings, campus-wide medium voltage loop power systems and site utilities, shallow electric utility installations, general site lighting, and underground electrical raceway routing. Low voltage scope included voice and data installations providing fiber and copper backbone around entire campus, DAS systems, and video systems including MATV distribution and content creation facilities. CVE also provided security electronics installation in a number of the campus facilities.
