Project Overview

St. George Regional Hospital’s 2016-2018 hospital upgrade and expansion was a coordinated design assist effort with Intermountain Healthcare. The hospital remained open and operational during the entire construction process with no interruption to critical systems or patient care.  Over 175,000 man hours went into this project, and the result was a state-of-the-art medical facility in the heart of southern Utah’s red rocks.
Hospital Scope of Work – Electrical Construction
    • Upgrading the medium voltage loop of the campus
    • Adding parking lot lighting in 5 different areas
    • 5-floor South Tower – patient rooms
    • 5-floor North Tower – Women’s Center
    • 3-floor Diagnostic & Treatment Building, including a new Central Utility Plant
    • Renovation effort includes upgrading different areas on three levels of the existing hospital

Hospital Scope of Work – Teledata

The Teledata Division installed basket tray and j-hook pathways for all the hospital’s systems cabling, fiber/ copper backbone, voice/data cabling and hardware, nurse call cabling, PA speaker cabling and system, TV cabling and system. CVE built out new Technology Distribution Rooms (TDRs). The project’s scope of work included the expansion and rework of the existing TEC (data center),and ongoing coordination with the Dixie Intermountain Healthcare IT department and team.

      • 158,000 feet of Siemens Cat5e UTP cable
      • 19,000 feet of 24 St SM fiber
      • 10,000 feet of 50 pair copper backbone cabling
Cancer Center Scope of Work – Teledata
