Hydrovac Truck Operator

CVE's Signal and Utility team is hiring experienced hydrovac truck operators to join our crews and work on projects throughout the Wasatch Front. Work consists of the following:

  • Identifying existing utilities
  • Applying work zone safety and traffic control to perform labor safety.
  • Hydro-excavating to locate existing utilities, trenching, and excavating holes for foundations.
  • Performing general maintenance and mobilization of the truck.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of a vac truck with at least a year of experience operating vac trucks
  • Current, valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Ability to pass a DOT drug screen
  • Ability to learn highway maintenance/construction practices and procedures
  • Travel to various sites and locations, including occasional overnight stays
  • Good balance, alertness and physical strength
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs of material regularly
  • Ability to frequently walk, bend, kneel, reach and climb
