We are looking for a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to review bid documents, create accurate bills of material, collaborate with vendors and general contractors, and prepare and submit precise estimates.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and a passion for delivering cost-effective solutions.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications to define project scope and prepare estimates.
  • Utilize estimating software to develop accurate electrical estimates.
  • Quantify electrical commodities and research competitive pricing.  
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors to obtain quotes and project details.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations to select the best options for the company.  
  • Collaborate with upper management to review and finalize estimates.  
  • Compile and submit bid documentation to project originators.  
  • Conduct jobsite inspections as required.  
  • Negotiate and resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support company growth.  

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and related regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and other relevant applications.  
  • Familiarity with electrical design techniques, blueprints and drawings.
  • Understanding of electrical equipment, materials and specifications.
  • Experience with contract documents (drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specifications, change orders).
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply electrical formulas.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in electrical projects.
  • Ability to visualize and sketch electrical layouts.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol tests and background check.
