Cache Valley Electric is pleased to announce that Brett Hugie was recently appointed as the Chief Financial Officer/Director of Operations of Cache Valley Electric Company. Brett graduated with degrees in accounting and management information systems from Utah State University before joining an international accounting firm in Los Angeles, California. He worked with this firm for 11 years in their Los Angeles, Phoenix and Salt Lake City offices. Cache Valley Electric awarded several contracts for new Morgan Stanley Building

Cache Valley Electric’s Electrical Construction Division has been awarded the contract for the new Morgan Stanley Building. This 3 story, 107,000 square foot data center is located in Sandy, Utah. Cache Valley Electric is responsible for all of the building systems that include security, UPS, emergency generators, transfer switches and electrical distribution. The Intermountain Electrical Association has recognized Cache Valley Electric as the 2006 “Outstanding Large Electrical Contractor of the Year” on the Wasatch Front at its annual awards banquet. Cache Valley Electric’s Technology Services Division has recently been awarded Cisco’s prestigious Silver status partner level. The criteria for this level is to meet certain levels of personnel, support, specialization and customer satisfaction. Cisco places great emphasis on customer satisfaction. Cache Valley Electric awarded contracts for Miller Sports Park.

Cache Valley Electric was recently awarded two contracts for the Larry H. Miller Sports Park. Located in Tooele, Utah on a one mile square parcel of land, this will be the first high speed race track in Utah. CVE’s initial contract with Sahara, Inc. consists of providing a complete 15kv utility infrastructure along with the power and lighting for the project. Cache Valley Electric is also responsible for site lighting, a public address system, parking lot lighting, closed circuit television, security access control, low voltage lighting control system, fire alarm and lightning protection. Cache Valley Electric’s Design Build Department awarded contract for New Police Academy and Culinary Arts School at Salt Lake Community College

Cache Valley Electric’s Design Build Department has been awarded a contract for the new Larry H. Miller Public Safety and Culinary Arts buildings. Both facilities will be located on Salt Lake Community College’s Miller Campus in Sandy, Utah. CVE’s contract consists of engineering and construction services for both the Public Safety and Culinary Arts complexes. The Public Safety facility includes new dormitories, police officer safety training classrooms, simulators, crime lab training, administrative and executive offices, and an indoor shooting range.
